Experimental Research Laboratory in Transfusion Medicine
Research is one of the core tasks within the Institute of Transfusion Medicine and Hemostaseology. In our research laboratory we address scientific topics related to transfusion medicine as well basic science and translational research. Here, scientists are working closely with physicians to develop new diagnostic options for patient care.
Research topics
- Umbilical cord blood professional antigen-presenting cells
- Extracorporeal Photophoresis
- FACS-based screening platform for the development of novel immunomodulatory molecules
- Development of PLGA nanoparticles for immunomodulation
- Optimization of dendritic cells for cell therapies
- Investigation of hemostaseologically relevant gene variants using Next Generation
- Platelate diagnostics
We can offer exciting bachelor's, master's or medical doctoral theses in our research areas. We are looking for students who
